I am going to try something different.
I am going to try to blog every day. These are bold words but I am putting it out there into the Aether so that the Universe will hold me accountable. I have read, and read, and heard the blogging every single day, at least 500 words or so, will help me improve my craft (that of writing) and help build a habit of writing. It’s tough to do this in my hectic life but if something becomes a habit, then I don’t even have to think about it, right? So that’s what I am aiming to do.
I am also going to do this as a means of practicing out loud. I’m sure my works will suck in the beginning, but I hope that as I move forward with this plan my writing will become a little more refined, polished, better structured, all that good stuff, every day. I’m going to be using this opportunity to also experiment. Experiment with fonts, with format, with workflow and how I am putting all of this up online.
I am going to leave the warts and all as they are because I want my son to see (when he gets older and hopefully reads his old man’s blog) how I progressed. I want him to see that in the beginning of this endevour I wasn’t so great but that with time, practice, and focus I got (hopefully) better and better.
